So this happened...

Do you ever feel like a change is coming in your life? A restlessness, even a preparation for a new season?

Sometimes a door opens and I know it's just for me. To be honest, I had been getting a bit restless, feeling like I needed a new challenge. I felt a change of seasons, that something new was on the horizon. What's my new thing?

I am honored to announce that I am the new Gallery Director at Lincoln Gallery!

Lisa DuBois at Lincoln Gallery
Lincoln Gallery is open Tues-Sat 12-6pm

For several years, I have engaged in the arts in downtown Loveland. Loveland is known for its art, and the artists here are a welcoming community. It has been such a joy to be a part of this city; I love Loveland so much.

I am blessed to be working alongside the former Gallery Director, Jill Atchison. Jill has pioneered new paths for Lincoln Gallery, and she will continue serving in even a greater capacity as Executive Director of the Thompson Valley Art League.

Lincoln Gallery is the only non-profit gallery in Loveland. It is owned by the Thompson Valley Art League (TVAL). We are so much more than just a gallery. Keep reading to find out...

The Thompson Valley Art League has 130 members. About 55 of us are exhibiting members of the gallery. The remaining 75 are basic members. All members serve in TVAL in several ways, such as volunteering at events, running our meetings, and teaching their art in our workshops and classes throughout the year.

Art friendships are fostered at our monthly membership meetings.

TVAL hosts 5 yearly art shows at Lincoln Gallery. The next show will be the Regional Fine Art Show in September. This will be a juried show with prizes awarded for each medium. There is still time to apply for entry to this show through CaFÉ.

Join us year-round on Friday Night on the Town, held the second Friday each month, 6-9pm. At the July 8 FNOTT, you can see the latest works from our TVAL exhibiting members. Refreshments available through Bad Benji's Diggety Dog right outside the gallery at 429 N Lincoln.

The Thompson Valley Art League also operates Art in the Park in August every year. Art in the Park is one of the longest-running annual art festivals in the country. This year, Art in the Park is August 13-14. We will host over 175 juried artists, plus food trucks and a beer & wine garden.

If you are an artist or a supporter of the arts, I personally invite you to become a part of the Thompson Valley Art League. Stop by the gallery or contact me here.

See you in the arts!
